Privacy Policy

What information we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Last updated 21 June 2026

DARIS F.Z.C (“Daris”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have when you use the Daris Platform.

1. Overview

This Policy applies to personal information we process about Students, parents, Tutors and visitors when they use our apps and websites. By using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide: name, email, phone number, password, profile details, qualifications (for Tutors), messages, reviews and support requests.
  • Booking & transaction data: Sessions you book, schedules, and payment details processed by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Usage data: how you interact with the Platform, including pages viewed, features used, device type, browser and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Cookies & similar technologies: identifiers used to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure performance.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your Account and provide the Platform;
  • match Students with Tutors and facilitate bookings, messaging and payments;
  • process transactions and send related confirmations and receipts;
  • provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
  • keep the Platform safe — detecting fraud, abuse and policy violations;
  • improve and develop features, and measure how the Platform is used;
  • send service and, where permitted, marketing communications you can opt out of.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed, including with:

  • other users, to enable bookings — for example, sharing relevant profile and contact details between a Student and a Tutor for a confirmed Session;
  • service providers who process data on our behalf (such as hosting, payment, analytics and communication providers) under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations;
  • authorities or third parties where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of users and the public;
  • a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Payments

Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. Your card and payment details are collected and processed directly by those providers in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable security standards. We receive limited transaction information needed to confirm and reconcile payments.

7. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences and understand usage so we can improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your Account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, then for the period required to comply with our legal, accounting, tax and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. How we protect your data

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update most details in your Account settings, or contact us to exercise these rights.

To make a request, email us at info@darisapp.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Children's privacy

The Platform is intended for use by adults. Where a Student is a minor, their Account must be held and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the information provided. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without appropriate consent.

12. International transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates and may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

13. Third-party links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice through the Platform where appropriate.

15. Contact us

If you have questions about this Policy or how we handle your information, contact DARIS F.Z.C at info@darisapp.com, or by post at Tamani Arts Offices, Office 1628, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
